Darla K. Tyler

Darla Katherine Tyler, 69, of Griggsville, died Monday, January 23, 2023, at home after a brief illness. She was born January 2, 1954, in Moline, Il, the daughter of Donald and Mary Darlene Ward. She married Denis Tyler on September 20, 1975, in East Moline and he survives.

Darla retired from CASE/International Harvester in 2004, after 30 years with the company.

She loved cooking, traveling, Van Morrison, and enjoyed a glass of wine on her front porch on summer days. She was a voracious reader.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Danielle Tyler (husband Jeremy Izzard) of Springfield, IL; one son, Joel Tyler of Griggsville; and one grandson, Damon Tyler, also of Griggsville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Darlene Ward.

Per her request, there are no services and cremation rites have been accorded.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the World Wildlife Fund or online at worldwildlife.org.  Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com.  Niebur Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
