Darin Neal Fee

Darin Neal Fee, age 49, of Barry, IL passed away, Tuesday, April 25, 2023.  He was born to Larry Laws and Joyce Fee on September 7, 1973 in Pittsfield, IL.  He married Dana Brooks on July 14, 2001 in Barry, IL, and she survives.

Darin was born and raised in Barry, IL and attended Barry schools. He began his working career driving a truck for Lumley’s. He went on to spend 15 years working for Rollie Lee. Darin then drove a concrete truck for Bleigh. In 2017, he bought The Lantern tavern in Barry, IL. He also worked for IDOT in the winter, and was an Amish Uber.

Darin liked to travel, especially visiting Colorado. He enjoyed fishing, hunting mushrooms, playing pool and was in a league, working on cars with his son- the faster and louder, the better, riding on his Harley, and helping Dalton at his new home with his yard. Darin was a 17 year member of the Barry Fire Department, and also a member of the Pike County Emergency Corps. He was known to be stubborn, and a little crazy, but was a people person wanting to make people laugh with his jokes.  He loved smoking foods and grilling out while having fun with family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dana Fee of Barry, IL; mother, Joyce Fee of Barry, IL ; son, Dalton Fee of Barry, IL; brothers, Jason (Sandy) Fee of Barry, IL and Brady (Jessica) Fee of Palmyra, MO; grandparents, Martha Fee of Barry, IL, Cassandra Nieders of Barry, IL; Chester (Connie) Nieders of Quincy, IL; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and his husky, Jasper.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Laws and grandfather, Jack Fee.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 4:00- 7:00 P.M. and the service will be at 7:00 P.M.at Niebur Funeral Chapel in Barry, IL.
