Daniel Andres

Daniel Allen Andres, age 65 of Winchester, IL passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. He was born August 12, 1960, in Pittsfield, IL to Harvey D. and Janice JoAnne Schmidt Andres.

Dan was a mechanic working for Freesen Inc, Casco, and Illinois Valley Paving over the years. He later worked as a mechanic out of his home until his health no longer permitted it. Daniel enjoyed spending time outdoors on the farm helping his dad and he liked muscle cars, especially Chevrolets! He will be remembered by many as an accomplished mechanic who loved to turn wrenches, and a man with a kind yet stubborn side.

Dan is survived by his mother, Janice Andres; sons, Jeremy (Michele) Andres and Kyle (Jennifer) Andres; daughter, Heather Phelps; grandchildren, Austin Andres, Emily Andres, Eric Andres, Ellie Andres, Ross Kunkel, Daniel Andres, and Kyle Andres, Jr.; great grandchildren, Raelyn Andres and Mason Andres; sister, Deanna (Brad) Bell; and niece, Deelany (Nick) Rentschler.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Andres; and niece, Morgan Bell.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and no services will be held. Memorials are suggested to be made to Pike County Animal Shelter. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com. Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield is handling the arrangements.
