Crystal C. Dark

Crystal C. Dark, age 70, of Pittsfield, IL passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Liberty Village in Pittsfield.  She was born on February 4, 1953 in Polk County, IA, the daughter of Vivian Spencer.  She married Jeffrey Dark on September 2, 1981 in Pittsfield, and he survives.

Crystal attended school in Calhoun County.  After getting married and having their daughter, she became a stay at home wife.  She was an avid collector of porcelain dolls and was a good cook.  Crystal enjoyed coloring, cross stitching, and loved being outside and going on walks.  She was very outgoing and liked spending time around friends and family.  She was also never afraid to speak her mind.  She will be missed.

She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 42 years, Jeffrey Dark; daughter, Jamie (Christopher Smith) Reveal of Pittsfield, IL; two grandchildren, Ashlee Sutherland of Quincy, IL and Matthew Reveal of Pittsfield, IL; brother, Richard Spencer of Jacksonville, IL; sister, Betty Wilcox of Moline, IL; and sister-in-law, Jeannette Pults of Nebo, IL.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Vivian (Walter) Eisenbacher; father figure, Chester Wilcox; grandson, Brandon Reveal; sisters, Karen Wolfe, Shirley Frye, and Donna Frenell; and brothers, Ivan Wilcox, Al Wilcox, and Chet Wilcox.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 7, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield.  Interment will follow at Gray Cemetery near New Salem, IL.  Visitation will be held prior to the service on Friday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to be made to the family c/o Niebur Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com.  Niebur Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
