Charles 'Danny' Taylor Obituary

Charles Daniel ‘Danny’ Taylor, age 64 of Roodhouse, IL passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL. He was born August 9, 1960, in Flagstaff, AZ to Charles Taylor and Rose Higdon Taylor.

Danny had a gift for mechanics, always ready to work on a car and loved motorcycles. He was a kind man with an incredible sense of humor, enjoyed funny quotes, and loved the simplicity of country living. Danny was an avid fan of music with some of his favorites being Grateful Dead, Motley Crue, ZZ Top, and Bob Seger. He loved playing pool and enjoyed get togethers with family and friends and will be dearly missed by those close to him.

Danny is survived by his mother, Rose Higdon Martin; children, Stephanie Sue Taylor Neukam and Charles Arthur (Amanda) Taylor; eleven grandchildren; one great granddaughter; sisters, Sandra Taylor, Brenda Taylor Carmichael, and Melanie Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Taylor; and brothers, Randy Shoemaker and Ted Taylor.

Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be a Celebration of Life held for friends and family Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Rose Martin’s home in Time. Memorials are suggested to be made to the family c/o Niebur Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com. Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield is handling the arrangements.
