Carole A. (Flowers) Seal

Carole A. Seal, age, 80 of Griggsville, IL passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at her home.  She was born on October 9, 1944, in Pittsfield, IL to Darrell and Velma (McKinney) Flowers.  Carole married John Seal on September 30, 1973, at Bremerton, WA and he survives.

Carole grew up in Griggsville, IL and attended Griggsville schools.  She also attended the Griggsville United Methodist Church.  She first worked at Joe’s Diner and later was a waitress at various restaurants.  She was always ready for a garage sale or an auction.  Carole enjoyed working in her yard and tending to her flowers.  She loved to take rides and going out to eat.  She was a kind and loving woman who loved her family, especially time spent with her grandchildren.

Carole is survived by her loving husband of almost 52 years, John Seal Sr.; sons, John (Heather) Seal Jr., Lonnie (Hope) Heeman and Donnie Heeman; daughter, Michelle (Tim) Taylor; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Max Flowers; one sister Linda (‘Watty’) Huddleston and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Carmen Kaye (Heeman) Crawford; and sister, Chris Goewey.

Cremation rites have been accorded and per Carole’s wishes there will be no services.  Memorials are suggested to be made to the Pike County Animal Shelter.  Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com.  Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield, IL will be handling the arrangements.
