Carol Rose (Stinebaker) Liehr

Carol Rose Liehr, age 76, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Carle BroMenn Hospital in Normal, IL with her two daughters at her side. She was born March 14, 1947, in Pittsfield, IL to Neil and Mary Robinson Stinebaker. Carol married Jerry Liehr June 14, 1969, at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Griggsville, IL and he preceded her in death on November 30, 2011.

Carol retired from Illini Community Hospital in 2016. In her free time she enjoyed baking apple pies, playing BINGO, spending time with her cats, birdwatching, working with her perennials and listening to Kid Rock.

Carol is survived by her daughters, Neilly (Chris) Bergman of Plainfield, IL and Natalie (Joshua) Stephens of Carlock, IL; four grandchildren, Kenzie Bergman, Brayden Bergman, Dean Stephens and Ellie Stephens; sister, Diane Ehlert; brother, Lyndle (Hoss) Stinebaker; special niece, Emily Rhodes who always included her in all holidays and celebrations; also surviving are nephews and several close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Neil and Mary Stinebaker; husband of 42 years, Jerry Liehr; and brothers, John Stinebaker and David Stinebaker.

Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to be made to the family c/o Niebur Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com. Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield is handling the arrangements.
