Brian M. Harting

Brian Harting, age 62, of South Roxana, IL passed away Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton, IL. He was born December 29, 1963, in Alton, IL to Mark Harting and Sharon Acker.

Brian graduated from Alton High School and later became a sanitation worker. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and building hotrods, was a gun collector who liked going to the gun range, playing golf, going to concerts, an avid cat and dog lover, and collecting silver. Brian was an opinionated and strong-willed man who will be dearly missed by his family.

Brian is survived by longtime partner, Michele Davis; children, Clifford Davis of Wood River, IL and Jenny Davis of East Alton, IL; grandchildren, Mariah Latty, Jax Davis, and Lydia Price; and siblings, Sabrina Baker, Scott Acker, and Robert Acker. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Mark Harting; mother, Sharon Acker; grandmother who helped to raise him, Inez Harting; sister, Kimberly Williams; and uncle, John Harting.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Greater Alton Church, 506 East Airline Drive, Rosewood Heights, IL 62024.
