Bobette Michelle (Buchanan) Clowers

Bobette Michelle Clowers, age 56, of Hull, IL passed away surrounded by her family on Friday April 4, 2025, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. She was born on December 10, 1968, in Louisiana, MO to Donald L. ‘Tink’ and Rilee Susan (White) Buchanan.

Bobette grew up in Pleasant Hill, IL and graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in 1986.  In her early years she worked for her grandparents at the Junietta’s Twin Pike Café. She later became the administrator for Community Care Systems and then Help at Home for a combined total of 26 years.  She most recently worked for Sugar & Smoke, where she was known as the ‘Queen of the Grill’.  Her profound knowledge of the food industry and skills as a cook were unsurpassed.  She found enjoyment preparing meals for her family and being sure to always make their favorites whether it be homemade chicken and noodles or fried chicken and all the fixins.

Bobette was fiercely supportive of her children and grandchildren.  She loved going to all their activities, whether it was a derby, ballgame, or a dance recital, she was always there!  She never missed an opportunity to spoil her grandkids, always showering them with love and special little gifts.

Bobette was always putting others first, even up until the end.  Not only was Bobette loving, hardworking, and a force to be reckoned with, she was fiercely protective of her family, especially her little sister.  Bobette was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. She will be immensely missed by all who knew her.

Bobette is survived by her mother and step-father, Susan and Kim Colgrove of Hull, IL; her four children, Morgan (Bryan Curry) White of Curryville, MO, Brock (Brittni) Hill of Nebo, IL, Tyler (Emily) Hill of Pittsfield, IL and Blake (Alyssa) Clowers, of Pittsfield, IL; grandchildren, Rilee White, Lane White, Brielynn White, Macie Hill, Maggie Hill, Bailey Hill, Paisley Hill, Kinley Hill, Lennox Rush and Noah Clowers; one sister Terrie Lynn (Emily) Buchanan of Columbia, MO.  She was preceded in death by her father, Donald ‘Tink’ Buchanan; grandparents, Riley and Junietta White, Russell and Georgia Buchanan and Bob and Betty Colgrove.

Services will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 12:00PM at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield, IL.  Visitation will be from 10:00AM-12:00PM prior to the service.  Interment will follow the service at Crescent Heights Cemetery in Pleasant Hill, IL.  Memorials are suggested to be made to the family c/o Niebur Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com.
