Bobbie L. (Lemons) Braden

Bobbie Leone Braden, age 77 of Milton, IL passed away on November 15, 2022 at the Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.  She was born on December 9, 1944 in Calhoun County, IL to Elmer James and Minnie Leone Jones Lemons.

Bobbie graduated from East Pike High School and later in life attended JWCC where she took several business classes.  After High School she married and started her family. Bobbie was a stay-at-home mom until she became a single mother and entered the workforce.  She first worked for Capitol Records/EMI in Jacksonville and later worked for Stark Brothers in the packaging department. Bobbie raised her two daughters along with many of her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews over the years. She was a huge part of all their lives.  She was the glue that held her family together. 

Bobbie enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting, word search, crossword and putting puzzles together.  She especially loved old country music.  Bobbie was very protective of her family and always took care of anyone that knocked on her door. She will be greatly missed.

Bobbie is survived her daughters, Melinda Mellor, Milton, IL, Bobbie Lynne Crawford, Pearl, IL, Meggan Lemerande, Pearl, IL; grandchildren, Miguel Dominguez, Cassandra Biron, Brittany Mellor, Jessica Callahan, Jamie Mellor; thirty great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; one brother, Richard (Elizabeth) Lemons, Pearl, IL; one sister Mary Jean Mayberry, Georgia. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Melody, two brothers, her twin Robert at birth and James. 

Services will be held Tuesday November 22, 2022 at 1:00 PM with a visitation prior to the service from 11:00AM – 1:00 PM.  Burial will follow at the Smith Cemetery, Milton, IL.  Memorials are suggested to be made to the family.  Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com.
