Barbara J. (Masten) Beezley

Barbara June Beezley, age 77, of Griggsville, IL passed away Monday, August 14, 2023, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. She was born June 4, 1946, in Springfield, MO to Earl and Betty Jean Pettigrew Masten.

Barbara grew up in the Springfield, MO area and enjoyed going to the Pentecostal Church. At an early age, she went to work for the Zenith Electronic Corp in Springfield as a TV Specialist and retired after 30 years of service. Barbara liked to go fishing and enjoyed watching all kinds of movies. In earlier years, she liked to sing especially country songs. She was devoted to her cat, Lovey Girl who was a constant companion. Barbara was a quiet, loving and hardworking woman who was deeply dedicated to her kids and family.

Barbara is survived by son, Robert (Rebecca Shirley) Willbanks of Griggsville, IL; daughters, Vonda Ottwell and Elizabeth Sanders, both of Missouri; grandchildren, Amber, Allen and Matthew; brothers, Bill Matsen and Earl C. Matsen, Jr, and sister, Mary (Robert) Young.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Betty Masten; brothers, Leroy and John; and sisters, Freida, Earlene and Betsy.

Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services held at this time. Memorials are suggested to be made to the family c/o Niebur Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com. Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield is handling the arrangements.
