Alicia 'Lisa' Smith Obituary

Alicia ‘Lisa’ Renee Smith, age 59, of Griggsville, IL passed away March 8, 2023, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. She was born in East Moline, IL February 7, 1964, daughter of Everett Gratton Jr. and Betty Lou Prater Ripley. Lisa was raised by her Mama Brenda Gratton Foster. She had daughter, Lacy and later married Tony Smith and to this union five children were born.

She started school in East Moline, IL and later attended Pittsfield schools. In earlier years, she worked at Hardee’s as a manager and then went on to become a stay-at-home mom and raised not only her own children but many others. Lisa loved to sing and would often sing in her dad’s band, Everett’s Down Home Country Band; her favorite song was ‘Walking On Sunshine’. She collected dragon figurines and enjoyed genealogy, spending time playing card games such as Uno and Tarot and dearly loved her pets. Lisa loved life and was always happy, outgoing, spunky and joyful and everyday got up, looked in the mirror and said, “Hello, Beautiful…you are going to have a wonderful day!”

Lisa is survived by her Mama Brenda (Bob) Foster of Monroe City, MO; her children, Lacy (Jason) Rennecker of Griggsville, IL, Jade (Tracy) Johns of Pittsfield, IL, Zachary (Brittany) Smith of Pittsfield, IL, Echo (Michael) Clowers of Mt.
