Aletheia Jane Allastor, age 4, of Pleasant Hill, IL passed away peacefully sleeping at her grandparent’s home on Thursday, November 28, 2024. She was born September 7, 2020, in Springfield, IL to Truston Allastor Baker and Payton Jane Woodward.
From the beginning, Aletheia was God’s child, she was peaceful and happy and would brighten every room she entered. Her mommy endearingly called her ‘my little soup dumpling munchkin’. Aletheia loved when her mommy would sing to her and hearing her parents' voices and getting big hugs from them brought her great joy. She took delight in holding their hands and especially being snuggled and held close. She really loved her Grandpa Larry’s foot rubs and watching ‘Moomin Valley’ every day. Aletheia had a gentle soul and enjoyed her many pets, she loved her cat, Angelbob; dog, Dante aka Scooby Doo; her two turtles; and enjoyed the peaceful nature of the fish in the tank next to her bed. She dearly loved spending time outdoors on sunny days in the garden. Her sweet and gentle nature will be missed by all who knew her.
Aletheia is survived by her parents, Truston and Payton Baker; one sibling on the way; grandparents, Jennifer (Combs) Wilson of New Salem, IL, Chuck and Brandi Woodward of Griggsville, IL and Amanda Bevill of Hannibal, MO; great grandparents, Cindy Brown, Pat Brown, Larry and Martha Woodward, and Loretta Bevill; Aunt Pandora Baker; Uncle Garrett Woodward; and cousin, Naomi Piper.
She was preceded in death by grandfathers, Richard Baker and Eddie Bevill; and great grandmother, Jean Combs.
All services will be held privately. Memorials are suggested to be made to the family c/o Niebur Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com. Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield is handling the arrangements.
