Yvonne and family. We are so saddened  to hear about Dick. He was a very nice guy. Robert enjoyed being in Shine with him. So glad he got to be an " in person" papa to your granddaughters. Our sympathy and prayers to you and your family.

To the Stauffer family,

I remember Mr Stauffer being a wonderful teacher, the joy that he would express when you passed a test or even if it was a beautiful day he would express it! Not only did he teach us about english and literature but he taught us about diabetes and how it was no laughing matter and how quickly it can drop or skyrocket. Many of his students saw this first hand but reacted accordingly and at times swiftly to address the situation, technology has changed and thankfully have addressed many of these issues, nonetheless that was a valuable lesson he taught us, and has stuck with me personally for years in a good way. He will be deeply missed

My sincere condolences

Yvonne & family....my condolences to you! I grew up with Dick in our hometown of Baylis in Pike County. He was a year ahead in school and we both from graduated from 8th grade in Baylis. I have many fond memories of Dick, fishing in the Mill Pond, and the Baylis gang back in those days. We both graduated from Western Illinois University and started our new lives in different places. I moved to the Decatur area and presently live in nearby Mt Zion. Dick was a good friend in a small town in a very special time !

I am so sorry to hear of Dick's passing. I have several great memories of times with your family. Most of them involve the theatre, either sharing the stage or watching a performance. Prayers for your family.
