Mae Sue Graves, age 73, of Ursa, IL, passed  away on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. Born October 22, 1947 in Quincy, she was the daughter of Glenn Elmer and Doris Mae (Simon) Reichert. She married Gregory Graves on September 28, 2002. He preceded her in death on September 19, 2021.

Mae attended the Pittsfield Church of the Nazarene and was formerly a member of the LaBelle Christian Church. A graduate of LaBelle High School, she attended Gem City College receiving a certificate in bookkeeping. She worked as a bookkeeper at Mormans and Colt in Quincy, IL for several years before becoming a CNA. She worked at La Belle Manor Care Center before moving to IL. She then spent over 20 years as a CNA and office position at North Adams Home in Mendon, IL. She was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. She loved to read and do crossword puzzles as well as travelling with her husband. They attended NFL games, took bus tours to see MLB games and attended many rock and country concerts at many venues around the country. She will be remembered as a quiet but determined person.

Survivors include sons, Mikel Glenn Franks of Kansas City, MO, and John Eldon Smith of Quincy, IL; a daughter, Susan (Mark) Tanner of La Grange, MO; 2 grandchildren, Olivia Smith of WA, and Levi Tanner of La Grange, MO; great grandson, Theo of WA; brothers, David (Jo Ann) Reichert of Centralia, MO, Roy (Vicki) Reichert of La Belle, MO, Gene Bradley of Lewistown, MO; sisters, Pauline (James) Dosier of Lewistown, MO, and Carolyn Bradley of England; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Doris Reichert; husband, Gregory; brother in infancy; and aunts, Clara (George) Hornecker and Laura (Ralph) Schlipman.

Funeral services are pending and cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials are suggested to be made to Blessing Foundation. Online condolences to the family may be left at Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield is handling the arrangements.

Dear family of Mae Graves, we are sorry to hear of her passing. We attended church with her and Greg at the Pittsfield Church of the Nazarene. She was a quiet lady but always had a smile on her face. God bless the family, Don & Annelle
