Linda Marie Wallace, 71, of Baylis, IL went to be with the Lord at Illini Community Hospital in Pittsfield, IL on September 3, 2021.  She was born on June 1, 1950 in Alton, IL to William and Margaret Coleman Clark.

Linda grew up in the southern Missouri and Alton area.  Linda was a single mom raising her children alone, so in 1985 she relocated her family to Pike County to be closer to her brother and family.  After her children were raised, she worked various jobs including Capital Records, apple picker for the Apple Basket in Barry, and Stark Brothers.  Linda loved her church and was a member of the Baylis Baptist Church where she attended regularly.  She enjoyed puzzles, crosswords and always enjoyed a good phone conversation.  Linda loved to cook and bake especially for her family. She was a loving, caring and kind person who never knew a stranger, and will always be remembered for the love she gave her family.

Linda is survived by her daughter Sandra (Doug) Strother of Pittsfield, IL; two sons, Jimmy Wallace of Baylis, IL and Phillip (Cristina) Wallace of Baylis, IL; six grandchildren, David Pollard of Baylis, IL, William (Keisha) Hurtle of Batchtown, IL, Heather (Garret) Robbins, Barry, IL, Kayla (Timothy) Keeling of Pleasant Hill, IL, Aiden Hunter of Baylis, IL, and Lola Wallace of Baylis, IL; eight great-grandchildren, Jordan Hurtle, Bryant Hurtle, Raelynn Robbins, Grady Robbins, Lathan White, Jaxon White, and Carlee White; also surviving are one half-brother, Billy (Tammy) Clark, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Carla Bricking; one brother, Jim Coleman; and two sisters, Betty Andrus and Ruth Ann Coleman.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 1:00PM at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield.  Visitation will be held prior to the service on Wednesday from 12:00PM to 1:00PM at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to the family c/o Niebur Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be left to the family at  Niebur Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
