Music by The Piano Brothers

Frank H. Cawthon, age 74, of Pittsfield, IL passed away on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Eastside Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Pittsfield, IL. He was born on January 17, 1947 in St. Louis, MO to Harold Lyndle and Mildred E. Jackson Cawthon. Frank married Barb Warren and she preceded him in death.

While in school, he worked several years as a farmhand and also at Dimmitt’s Service Station. Frank served his country in the United States Navy. After his honorable discharge, he worked for JCPenney constructing display units. He then went to work for Cohen’s Furniture Company in Jacksonville for many years until his health kept him from working. He loved 70’s music and old country tunes and spent many enjoyable hours listening to it and loved old tv shows and westerns. Frank was a jack of all trades and always kept himself busy working on his house, delivering newspapers, and helping Leonard Wade with tree trimming. He was also a talented artist, he could sit and draw anything and enjoyed painting. Frank was an easy going, quiet man with a great sense of humor who deeply loved his family.

Frank is survived by three brothers, Jackie Cawthon of Pittsfield, IL, Larry (Judy Ann) Cawthon of Bloomington, IL and Wayne (Peggy) Cawthon of Chambersburg, IL; one sister, Karen (Robert) Dehart of Pittsfield, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Mildred Cawthon; two brothers, Ronald Lee Cawthon and Jim Cawthon; great nephew, Cory Patterson; and great niece, Amy Hord.
