Linda Ann Irwin, age 73, of Baylis, IL passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, MO.  She was born on July 18, 1946 in Pittsfield, IL to Russell and Elizabeth Heightman Gooud.

Linda attended school in Nebo and Pittsfield, and went on to work at Brown Shoe Factory until its closing.  She also worked at Great River Meats, Higbee Jr. High as a Custodian for many years, and managed Lambeth Farms for several years.  She then worked for Tate Cheese, Jiffi Stop, and finished her working career at Jones Poultry after 20 years of service to them.  Linda greatly enjoyed the outdoors and working on the farm.  She liked car rides with family and friends, and her trips to Paducah, KY with Larry to visit their brother, Bob.  She loved cooking big meals, entertaining guests, and always looked forward to the big 4th of July bash at the farm.  She also enjoyed attending all of her grandson, Clint’s, activities that he was involved in.  Linda helped with Special Olympics for 12 years, and loved being around people with special needs and helping anyone that needed it.  She was also a member of the First Christian Church.  Linda was hard working, independent, caring, and loyal, and will be dearly missed by those who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Bill (Rhonda) Irwin and Betty (Steve) Hayden, both of Pittsfield, IL; grandson, Clint (Morgan Deeder) Hayden of Pittsfield, IL; great grandson, Elijah Hayden of Pittsfield, IL; brother, Robert ‘Bob’ (Jeanne) Gooud of Paducah, KY; nephews, Larry Gene Gooud of Springfield, IL and Josh (Randa Brown) Gooud of Paducah, KY; aunt, Delores Gooud and several cousins; and special sister and brother, Debbie and Fred Lambeth of Griggsville, IL;  special daughter, Eleanor Jenkins of Pittsfield, IL. Also surviving are close family friends Wanda Grable of Texarkana, TX, Doris Koncor of Pittsfield, IL, Jerry (Judy) Green of Pittsfield, IL and several nieces and nephews.
