Donnie W. Saxbury, age 55, of Perry, IL passed away on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at his home.  He was born on May 21, 1964 in Rushville, IL to Bruce and Velda Lee Martin Saxbury.

Donnie graduated from Brown County High School and then went on to join the United States Navy.  After his Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Navy, he worked various jobs including AGI, where he worked as a machine operator for 15 years. Donnie loved spending his time outside.  He enjoyed camping, fishing boating, riding dirt bikes, and drinking a beer.  He was a simple and quiet man, and always liked to stay busy.  Donnie greatly loved his children and grandchildren, and he will be missed.

He is survived by his mother, Velda Lee; children, Mariah Saxbury of Jacksonville, IL, Morgan Saxbury of Winchester, IL, and Joseph Lowe of Astoria, IL; four grandchildren, Jadyn Saxbury, Khase Dorwart, Keatynn Dorwart, and Rylan Dorwart; two brothers, Danny (Sue) Saxbury of Chambersburg, IL and Darren Saxbury of Perry, IL; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Saxbury.

No services will be held at this time and cremation rites have been accorded.  Memorials are suggested to be made to the family c/o Niebur Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be left to the family at  Niebur Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

My deepest sympathy to all of Donnie’s family! He was a great man and will be missed by many people. His laugh and smile could light up a room! I will always treasure all of my memories with him! Fly high with the angels Donnie! ❤️😢.
