Thomas Ervin Moehrle, 80, of Kinderhook, IL passed away July 28, 2019 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy. He was born on January 11, 1939 in St. Paul MN. He married Anna Mathes on November 4, 2000 and she survives.

After graduating from High School, he attended Pike’s Peak Community College in Colorado Springs, CO where he received a degree in mechanics. After college he enlisted in the US Army and served until his retirement where he was honorably discharged after 22 years. After his retirement he worked as a car mechanic and drove limos and buses for various companies for 30 years. One of his last jobs was working as a door greeter for Walmart. Thomas was ornery and loved to tease everyone. He was a good man who enjoyed watching TV and taking Sunday drives with his wife, Anna.

He is survived by his wife, a step-son, Clint Fox of Colorado Springs, Co, sister in laws; Erma (Myron) Arttus of Bowling Green, Mo and Dorothy Mathes of Barry, IL and a brother in law, Lawrence Mathes of Bowling Green, Mo and numerous nieces and nephews and dear friends, Bud and Barb Malone, Justin Basse and family and Tina Strand and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and numerous siblings.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Niebur Funeral Chapel in Barry with Bud Malone officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 A.M.  until the time of service. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.  The Niebur Funeral Chapel in Barry is handling
