Richard “Rick” Allen Dice, 62, of Pittsfield, Illinois, died at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois on March 15, 2019.  He was born on November 5, 1956 in Rushville, IN to Leonard and Sharon Dice.

At 17 months of age, he contracted an illness that left him with brain damage.   He has lived with his parents all his life.  He received Christ as his Saviour and was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Pittsfield, where his brother Dr. Gary Dice is pastor.  He loved going to church, carrying his big Red Bible and reminding everyone that he met that “Jesus is Coming”.  He loved animals, real and stuffed, and loved to color.  He attended special education classes for many years in Indiana and was involved with his preacher dad in all of his pastorates.

He is survived by his parents, Dr. Leonard and Sharon Dice; his six brothers, of which five are Baptist preachers, Gary (Pam) of Pittsfield, Illinois, Tim (Sheila) of Dunreith, Indiana, John (Victoria) of Greenwood, Indiana, Kevin (Lori) of Washington, Iowa, Phillip (Dodie) of Trinity, North Carolina and Ron (Kathy) of Knightstown, Indiana.   He is also survived by 16 nephews, nieces and 28 great nephews and nieces.  All six brothers will speak at the funeral service.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Grace Baptist Church in Pittsfield, IL with visitation there from 10:00am until time of service.  Burial will follow at Gray Cemetery in Pike County, Illinois.  Online condolences may be left  to the family at www.nieburfh.com.  Niebur Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

We only met Rick a few times when he came to North Carolina to visit his brother Phil. Rick was an amazing man. A true warrior for God. He will dearly be missed. We want you to know Rick that we are still awaiting on the Lord's coming so we can meet again. We are praying for the Lord to give you comfort in this time of loss. With love, Terry & Darlene
