He began trucking at the age of 21 for Thompson Trucking and drove for over 40 years, most recently for Black Horse Carriers, driving right up until illness forced his retirement in 2017. He loved fishing, camping, and was an avid hunter.  He collected western knives and attended many auctions and flea markets. Ted loved riding motorcycles and he and Mary took many trips on the bike over the years. He especially loved to spend time with his family. Ted was a member of the First Christian Church of Barry.
