It was very sad to read of Stella's passing. I was proud to know her. I think we connected for one thing because of our first name. For awhile there were three who had the same first name. When we would happen to be in the same place at the same time we would make sure to call each other by name and laugh! Stella was a grand and lovely lady who I will miss.

What a wonderful lady Stella was! I was so happy to get reacquainted with her when my Mom, Evelyn Hoover, moved in across the hall from Stella in Hawthorne Inn. They also shared a table for meals there. When I visited it was fun to talk to Stella and eat meals with them both. Stella welcomed my Mom warmly and encouraged her to get settled in and exercise etc. Stella was a great role model in how to age gracefully and with the best attitude and joy for life! I send sincere sympathies to you Darla and Carolyn and family.
