William Edward ‘Ed’ Beach, age 60, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Liberty Village in Pittsfield, IL.  He was born on January 25, 1958 in Taylorville, IL to Norman and Mary Cline Beach.  

Ed graduated from Taylorville High School.  He worked as an Assistant Manager at KFC in Taylorville then became Manager at the Shelbyville store.  He also worked at A Brand in Jacksonville as a Laborer and Leonard and Six Plumbing and Heating as an Apprentice.  Recently, he had been working at Save A Lot in Pittsfield doing various jobs.  Ed enjoyed barbequing and fishing.  He also liked to read and watch Westerns.  Most of all, he enjoyed playing with his grandchildren.  Ed was a member of The Crossing in Pittsfield where he was baptized.  He was a very hardworking, dependable man with a big heart and great sense of humor.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Beach; a son, Thomas (MacKenzie) Beach of Pittsfield, IL; two stepdaughters, Amanda (Joel) Hagloch of Ashland, IL and Brittany (Cole Bishop) Magner of Havana, IL; seven grandchildren, Dreico Beach, Slayde Beach, Selene Beach, Zander Lefebvre, Sierra Shoemaker, Austin Hagloch, and Ryan Bishop; and his siblings, Paul, Thomas, Stephen,  Norman, Dennis, Daniel, Mary Louise, Linda, Jennifer, and Kathy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Beach.

A Celebration of Life is being planned by the family and will be posted at a later date.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Memorials are suggested to the family.  Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com.  Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield is handling the arrangements.

Tommy, we’re so sorry to hear about your dad. We had a lot of good times together. Please let us know when the celebration will be held. We’ve been missing him for quite a while and would like to pay our respects.

We will be having a Celebration of Life Saturday December 8th at 2pm at The Crossing Church in Pike County.
