Kevin Alan Hittner, age 41, of Pittsfield, IL passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018.  He was born on August 21, 1977 in Jacksonville, IL to Darrel and Linda Leefers Hittner.  He married Megan Davis which resulted in three beautiful children.

Kevin attended Pittsfield High School and was a member of the 1996 graduating class.  After high school, he went on to work for the Boilmakers Union.  He then began working for Ketterman Communications installing Dish Network, working his way up to Management before the business sold.  Currently, he was working as a truck driver for Gully Transportation.  Kevin was a member of Pittsfield Christian Church, serving as a Treasurer for the Men’s Fellowship and as a Deacon.  He was also a member of The Moose Lodge and Old Orchard Country Club.  

Kevin played a very active role in the various extracurricular activities his children participated in, coaching many of the sports teams.  He enjoyed playing on the Monday night church slow pitch League, the volleyball league at Crossroads, and also played on a pool league for Lindsay’s Tavern.  Some of his favorite hobbies were fishing, hunting, and golfing.  Kevin also liked playing the gambling machines and enjoyed poker games with his friends.  Most importantly, Kevin dearly loved his kids.

He is survived by his parents, Darrel and Linda Hittner of Pittsfield, IL; his children, Kadin Alan Hittner, Keaton Albert Hittner, and Maylin Alisa Hittner, all of Pittsfield, IL; three sisters, Lisa (Steve) Wade of Jacksonville, IL, Julie (Tom) Scandalis of Frisco, TX, and Cindy Reveal of Pittsfield, IL; aunts and uncles, David (Veronica) Leefers of O’Fallon, MO, Susan (Donald) Myers of Jacksonville, IL, JoAnn (Fred) Engelmann of Baylis, IL, and Gary (Angie) Hittner of Pittsfield, IL; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and very special friends.

He is preceded in death by a daughter in infancy, Macey Marie Hittner; grandparents, Robert and Jean Leefers, and John and Margaret Hittner; aunts, Linda Yokem and Judy Harter; and uncles, Bob Leefers and John Hittner, Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield with Pastor Michael TenEyck officiating.  Interment will follow at Pittsfield West Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to be put towards an educational fund for his children.  Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com.  Niebur Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Linda, Darrell, and all family,

We are so sorry for your loss I really didn't know your son . But I have heard such wonderful things about him . I know he was a very wonderful young man and Father and son . Our hearts go out to you and your husband and family . Prayers and Hug's from us both. I know this is the hardest thing anyone can go threw .
