Dennis W. Weinant, age 69, of Pittsfield, IL passed away Monday, July 9, 2018 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.  He was born on April 28, 1949 in Pittsfield, IL to Richard C. and Dora May Smith Weinant.  

In earlier years, Dennis worked for Capitol Records and Moeller Concrete in Jacksonville, IL until retirement.  In 2009, he moved to Pittsfield, IL.  Dennis enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting.  He also loved to walk around town and go to garage sales.

He is survived by his mother, Dora May Weinant of Pittsfield; a son, John Eric Weinant of Dawson, IL; a grandson; sister, Cheryl (WJ) Kirk of Pittsfield; sister-in-law, Cheryl Weinant of Pittsfield, IL; two aunts, Helen Hull and Nancy Brackett, both of Griggsville, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Weinant; brothers, Michael Weinant and Roger Weinant; and several aunts and uncles.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to Oakwood Cemetery or to the family.  Online condolences may be left to the family at  Niebur Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
