Yurieva "Reva" Pepper, 80, of rural Pearl, IL passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.  She was born on April 22, 1938 in Pleasant Hill, IL to Everett and Thelma Hoaglin Garner.  Reva married Merle Pepper in Pittsfield on September 18, 1956, and he survives.

Reva graduated from Pleasant Hill School.  After she married Merle, she went to work for Ben Franklin in Pittsfield for a few years.  Then she began working at Farmers State Bank, retiring after 22 years as a Bank Teller.  In early years, Reva and Merle enjoyed square dancing with a group in the area, making their dance outfits herself.  She loved sewing and was a very good seamstress, and also quilted.  Reva was a St. Louis Cardinals fan and liked watching her hummingbirds.  She dearly loved her pug, Percy and he survives.  Reva was a member of the Pearl Christian Church, a past Senior Center Board member, and served on the Pearl Election Board.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 62 years, Merle Pepper; a son, Roger (Lee Ann) Pepper of Pearl, IL; a daughter, Karla (Bill) Howland of Pearl, IL; five grandchildren, Jamie (Marrissa) Pepper of Pearl, IL, Tracy (Tim) Brown of Chatham, IL, Kayla (Josh) Bricker of Pearl, IL, Merle Jacob (Hoshi) Howland of Washington, and Ethan (Brianna Motley) Howland of Pearl, IL; nine great grandchildren, Jaicee Pepper, Ellie Mae Pepper, Kylin Pepper, Renezmae Brown, Sophia Bricker, Madilynn Bricker, Myckael Bricker,  Killian Bricker, and Victoria Howland; and one brother, Gary Garner of Quincy, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one great- grandson, Sean Howland-Lockhart.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield.  Interment will be at Greenpond Cemetery following the service.  Visitation will be prior to the service on Saturday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to the family.  Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com.  Niebur Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
