Willard Daniels

Willard Daniels, age 80, of Pittsfield, IL passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Eastside Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Pittsfield. He was born September 16, 1943, in Alton, IL to Ralph and Lillian Mercer Daniels.

Willard was a laborer his entire life and worked at the sale barn for many years. In his early years, he enjoyed shooting pool and later in life when his health kept him at home, he spent time on his computer on social media and using Google. He was talented at arts, crafts and woodworking and sold items at local fairs and festivals. Willard liked to go out for Karaoke and enjoyed playing Cranium and other board games with family. He was a gentle and trustworthy good ole boy who will be dearly missed by friends and family.

Willard is survived by daughter, Missy (David) Allen of Concord, IL; stepchildren, Brenda Carmichael of Pittsfield, IL, Sandra Taylor of Time, IL, Melanie Martin of Time, IL and Charles Daniel Taylor of Greenfield, IL; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and lifelong companion, Rose Martin of Time, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Lillian Daniels; siblings; and stepchildren, Randy Shoemaker and Ted Taylor.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to be made to the family c/o Niebur Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com. Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield is handling the arrangements.
