My deepest sympathies go out to your family. Mrs. Lightle was a one of a kind teacher that was able to connect and inspire each student she came in contact with. She pushed all of us in her class to achieve greatness. My time spent with her in the library is where I developed my love of reading. I am truly sorry for your loss. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers during your time of grieving.

Admittedly I did not know Becky well, except through her son, Matt, and my brother Adam--my two favorite "El Dara's". I do know that Matt is kind, intelligent, hardworking, and full of good humor, which is a direct reflection of excellent parents. Becky was always smiling when we did see one another, likely from the well earned pride for her children. She will be missed and my prayers go out the the Lightle family.

What a bright light in everyone's day! Becky was a wonderful person who was friendly to everyone she met. I feel blessed to have known her not only on a personal level, but also on a professional level. She was well-respected and loved by her "school family" throughout the years. Her obituary picture typifies Becky's personality; this is how I will always remember her...smiling and laughing. She will be missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

I was fortunate to have worked with Becky for 10 years early in my career as an educator and coach at Griggsville CUSD #4. Becky was always cheerful and upbeat and had the best interests of her students at heart. I am also familiar with the Cripe family in Fulton County, IL. My heartfelt condolences to the family and her "education family".

My brother and I are friends of Matt's and have known his mother for years from afternoons spent at each other's homes, sleepovers, and even several family reunions that Adam and I were invited to join.

She always welcomed us into her home, and it was an absolute pleasure to have known her. I am heartbroken and feel your incredible loss. Please know that all of us in the Johnson Family are here for you. Please don't hesitate to reach out for anything you may need.

Mike, Arron, Mathew and Roy, My thoughts and prayers are with all of you and your extended family. I was fortune enough to know Becky in the beginning when she started dating Mike and was lucky enough to call her my friend. I loved her like she was family and to me she was family. May she RIP with her parents and may your sorrow be short and the memories live on forever in everyone's heart that knew her.

Becky and I go back to our first summer semester at W.I.U. We lost track of each other until I read where she had taken a job in Griggsville. We reunited and stayed in touch as her first son and my girls were in the same class. Later I had both her boys in junior high. She was so much fun to be with, and always had a smile on her face. So sorry for your loss, Mike, and your two sons. Keeping you and your family in prayer.

Mike, Aaron, Matt with all your families,
I am so sincerely sorry to learn of your loss. I did not know Becky well, but any and all I have ever read or heard of her couldn't express her any better. She looks so happy in this picture. I don't know if you boys will remember me as a Sunday school teacher at First Christian in Pittsfield. Mike, I knew then your boys were from a loving family. Now boys, I see you are following those footsteps. I read of her many talents but above all the example she set in loving her family and so many students during her long career is to be praised.
God Bless you all with comfort and peace. Bonnie

Mike and the brother just phoned me with this news and all I can say is that I am so sorry to hear about Becky's passing. Sad indeed and way too young. I know that she will be missed. We are sorry we cannot be there for you, tonight or tomorrow at the service. I do hope to see you during my next trip to Pike. Take care, Mike.

Becky was a wonderful teacher, colleague, and friend. I enjoyed her enthusiasm when I was a student of hers at Griggsville. After college, I returned to Griggsville where I became a colleague with Becky. She was fun loving and had a sweet smile. I am glad for her friendship and example that she was to not only myself but others as well. She will be greatly missed.

Our deepest sympathy to the Lightle family at this time. During what has become a very long and close friendship with Matt, getting to know this family has been a privilege. Especially Becky. What a wonderful person. She was never short on laughs and always welcomed me (and the rest of Matt's buddies) with an open heart. It was an honor knowing Becky. We pray for God's blessing over the whole Lightle family. Much love and peace to you all.
