Carolyn "Sue" Lindsey, 65, of Pittsfield passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.  She was born on January 22, 1952 in Carrolton to George and Audra Bettis Lindsey.

Sue graduated from Winchester High School.  She later worked as an independent seamstress out of her home with her sister, Gloria and also worked at Community Bank for several years as a bookkeeper.  Sue was a fantastic seamstress and loved to sew.  She liked interior designing and outdoor landscaping.  She spent many hours with her longtime companion, Donnie Pine, on the farm, working on her yard and koy ponds.  She was an expert on koy ponds.  Sue and Donnie enjoyed tending to the fainting goats and other farm animals.  She also liked picking blackberries and really enjoyed her years spent there.  She loved spending time in her pool and spending time with her grandchildren even more.

She is survived by two daughters, Jamie Knapp Moore of Pittsfield and Jodie Knapp of Quincy; seven grandchildren, Melissa Moore, Caylee Miller, Taylor Miller, Jonathon Moore, Dalton Thurman, Brody Johnson, and Jaydin Carder; a brother, George Lindsey Jr. of Winchester; five sisters, Rosann Lindsey of Winchester, Sharon Kay Porter of Decatur, Patricia (Robb) Layman of Williamsville, Gloria (Bill Doolin) Brown of Jacksonville, and Kathryn (Vern) Pascal of Bluffs; and her beloved cat, Maggie Rose.

She was preceded in death by her father and longtime companion, Donald Pine.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield.  There will be a visitation prior to the service from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  Interment will be at a later date.  Memorials are suggested to the family.  Online condolences may be left at www.nieburfh.com.  Niebur Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

She was always such a pleasant lady. Always found a way to smile and I never heard her say a bad word about another person. She did love her swimming pools!! I am sorry for your loss and I know she is in heaven.
