MRS. CONNIE K. BOTTEMA, 62, of Summer Hill, Illinois died Monday, June 28, 2010 at Boone Hospital, Columbia, MO.  She was on October 8, 1947 in Arenzville, Illinois to William and Jean Wohlers Winkelman, Jr. She married Henry “Hank” Bottema in January 1981 in Rock Island, Illinois, and he survives. She was an antique dealer with the Summer Hill Antique Mall. She was a member of the Pike County Historical Society, the Griggsville Genealogical and Historical Society, Morgan County Genealogical Society and a Hospice Volunteer.   

Survivors:  Her husband; Henry “Hank” Bottema of Summer Hill, IL., a son, David Bottema of Chicago, IL,  a daughter, Celeste Broussard of New Orleans, LA, three step-sons, Randy (Frances) Boyd of Lillington, NC., Stephen (Mary) Likins of Manhattan, IL, and Billy Henry Bottema Jr. of Chicago, IL, four step daughters, Jennifer (Matthew) Code, of Frankford, IL, Patricia (Jerry) Behrens of Beecher, IL, Suzanne Boyd of Lillington, NC., and Cynthia Bottema of New Orleans, LA, a sister, Brenda Winters of Springfield, Il, three half sisters, Diane (Rick) Barnett of Bluffs, IL, Eleanor Talkemeyer of Arenzville, IL, Sally (Don) Henry of St. Louis, MO.,  five half brothers, Brian Ferguson of Phoenix, AZ, Gary Ruckman of Wisconsin, Charles (Glenna) Ferguson of Pittsfield, IL, Bill (Annie) Ferguson of Pittsfield, IL, and David (Joanne) Ferguson of Paris, AK, fourteen grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by a step sister, Janis Ruckman Ferguson. 

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at 1:30 P.M. at the Niebur Funeral Home, Pittsfield, Illinois with Michael Ten Eyck officiating.  Burial will be at the Summer Hill Cemetery, Summer Hill, Illinois.  A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2010 from 11 am until 1 pm  at the Niebur Funeral Home, Pittsfield, Illinois.  

Memorial are suggested to the Summer Hill Cemetery or the Pike County Historical Society.
