Barbara K. Patton

BARBARA K. PATTON, 58, of Pittsfield, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2010 at the Barry Community Care Center in Barry, IL.  Barbara was born June 9, 1951, a daughter to Lyndle and Martha Ellen Kritright Collins.  She married Jerry Sharp and later married Jack Patton.  Barbara formerly worked at the Sandy’s restaurant, Hope School in Springfield, Pittsfield Moose Lodge, Subway in Pittsfield, operated Pike Station motel and was a representative for Avon.

 

She attended Open Bible Church, and enjoyed singing country music and karaoke.  She wrote country music and auditioned for music producer, Billy Walker in Nashville, TN.  She truly loved all her family and friends.

 

Three brothers survive her, Johnnie Bill (Pat) Collins of Pittsfield, Rodney (Phoebe) Collins of Pleasant Hill and Leroy Collins of Griggsville. Eleven sisters survive, Sandy Reardon of Alsey, Evelyn (David) Hall of Barry, Tonna (Ron) Long , Betty Foster, Janie Shipman, Dorothy Teany, Vella (Harold) Ruble, Martha (Ken) Hill all of Pittsfield, Janet Stroud of Vidor, TX, Leona Gratton of Pleasant Hill, Janet (Ron) Sydney of Hannibal, MO and Ruth Ann Evans of Live Oak, FL.  along with several nieces and nephews.

 

Her parents, Lyndle and Martha Collins and a brother, Michael Lyndle Collins, preceded Barbara in death.

 

Services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield with Father Rodney Schwartz officiating.  Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Pittsfield.  Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m, Tuesday evening, May 4, 2010 at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield.

 

Memorials are suggested to be made to the Blessing Hospice of Pike County.
