Juanita D. Motley of Shawnee, KS, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 12, 2010 at Sharon Lane Nursing Home.  She was born in Barry, IL on October 22, 1917 and was a 1935 graduate of Barry High School.  She lived in Pittsfield, IL, then North Kansas City for 35 years and Green Bay, WI before moving to Shawnee in 2005.  She retired from the Baptist Book Store and enjoyed singing in church choirs for many years.  She attended Shawnee Mission Baptist Temple at the time of her passing.  Juanita had a great love for her family and sacrificed much for them.  

Survivors include her son, Robert (Patti) Motley of Shawnee, grandchildren, Doug (Karen) of Lansing, MI and Brian of Appleton, WI, Shawn (Mayleen) Callahan of Kansas City, MO, Melissa Allen of Shawnee; 12 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, sister Wilma Altizer of Pittsfield, IL and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Joanna (Turner) Davis, 3 brothers; Grant Pennock, Howard Davis, and Charles Davis and one sister, Freda Canterbury.  Visitation will be from 11:00 – 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Niebur Funeral Chapel in Barry.  Graveside services will follow immediately at Park Lawn Cemetery in Barry with Clint Weir officiating.
