Anna M. Maberry, 87, of Pittsfield, passed away Monday, March 8, 2010 at Illini Community Hospital in Pittsfield.  Anna was born in Alton, IL on February 28, 1923, a daughter of James and Mayme Conley McVeigh.  She married Donald J. Maberry on July 31, 1953 in Jacksonville, IL.  He preceded Anna in death on October 14, 2005.

In Anna’s earlier years, she worked for Famous Barr in Chicago and Burcals in Burbank California.  She was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church and enjoyed reading, spending time with sister, Helen and niece Bobette.  She dearly loved her pet cat “Sammy”.

Her sister Helen Lyman and niece Bobette Lyman of Pittsfield survive Anna.  A brother James S. McVeigh preceded her in death.

A mass of resurrection will be held at 10:15 a.m. on Monday, March 15, 2010 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pittsfield with Father Rodney Schwartz officiating.  Burial will be in the Pittsfield West Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pittsfield on Monday, March 15, 2010.
