Constance June ‘Connie’ Minton, 84 of the Barry Community Care Center passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at the center.  Connie was born in Quincy IL, April 24, 1925 to Jacob and Florence Langebartel Kraft.  She married Joe Minton Jan. 23, 1944 and he preceded her in death Sept 26, 2007.   

Connie worked at the Foam-Air factory in Quincy for 20 years before retiring.  She loved sewing, making costumes for many family and friends over the years.  Connie also loved cooking and baking, and her word search puzzles.   She attended the New Canton Methodist Church and was a member of the New Canton Order of the Eastern Star.   

Connie is survived by one daughter Candace Marie Booker (Husband Marvin) of Baylis, a sister Carol Crump of Iowa, and a brother Richard Kraft of Florida.  Also surviving is a Granddaughter Lori Orr of Baylis and 2 Great Grandchildren, Corey and Jazmine at home.  She was preceded in death by a sister Margaret Axel, her parents and her husband Joe.  Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service will be held at a later date.  Memorials may be made to the family in care of Niebur Funeral Chapel, PO Box 36, Barry, IL.  Online condolences may be left at www.nieburfh.com
