Raymond P. Feigerle, 76 of Pittsfield, passed away, Monday December 21, 2009 at Illini Community Hospital in Pittsfield. He was born March 4, 1933 in Joliet, IL, a son of Albert and Lucille Page Feigerle. He married Joanne Elizabeth Rutherford on June 16, 1962 and she preceded him in death on October 26, 1981.
Raymond was a veteran of the United States Army and graduated from Illinois State University at Normal. He was a music and band teacher for the elementary and high school at East Pike High School in Milton, IL, Pittsfield Pikeland Unit #10, Higbee Junior High and East School. He was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the American Legion and enjoyed stamp and coin collecting, jazz music and his pets, Frankie and Minnie.
He is survived by three daughters, Elaine (Bruce) Allen of McKinney, TX; Pamela (Michael) DeLucas of Marseilles, IL; and Sandra Lindsey of Keller, TX. Four grandchildren survive, Anthony DeLucas, Joni DeLucas, and Paige and Samantha Lindsey. One brother, Albert Feigerle Jr. of Joliet, IL also survives.
A mass of resurrection will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 23 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pittsfield, IL with Father Rodney Schwartz celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Pittsfield, IL with military rites being accorded by the Pittsfield American Legion Post #152. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
