Marjorie A. Manson, 48 of Pittsfield passed away Friday, December 4, 2009 at Illini Community Hospital in Pittsfield. Born December 22, 1960 in Pittsfield she was the daughter of Richard and Laura “Lollie” Sewell Ruble. Marjorie was baptized at the New Hartford Christian Church, New Hartford, IL. She was employed as manager of the Pizza Hut in Pittsfield, IL, and attended John Wood Community College and earned an associate degree in Business Management. She served on the Pittsfield Fall Festival Committee as Co-Chairperson and enjoyed counter cross-stitch, pencil drawings, cartoons, collecting lighthouses and writing poems in which she had a poem published in the National Library of Poetry “Tomorrow’s Dream”.
Her mother and stepfather, Lollie and George O’Neill of Pittsfield, one son, Cory Manson of Pittsfield and one daughter, Mrs Becky (Doug) Shannon of Baylis, IL, three grandchildren, Noah, Caden and Lexi survive her. Two brothers, Richard T. “Richie” (Sally) Ruble, Mt. Sterling, IL and John (companion, Jenny Clendenny) Ruble of Pittsfield, five nieces and nephews, several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Preceding her in death was her father, Richard Ruble in 1993.
Services will be held Monday evening, December 7, 2009 at 7 p.m. at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield, IL with Rev. Robert Kean officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until the time of service at the Niebur Funeral Home. Cremation rites will be accorded with interment being held at a later date at the Pittsfield West Cemetery.
