GARY L. OBERDAHLHOFF, SR., 65, of Nebo, IL. died Monday, November 30, 2009, at Blessing Hospital, Quincy, IL.   He was born in Quincy, IL. on November 19, 1944, to Merle and Agnes Brocksick Gooding.  He married Nancy Jane England on October 27, 1967, and she preceded him in death on June 1, 2006.  

He was a carpenter, roofer, laborer at Excel, and worked as a laborer for the railroad.   He served his country in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed fishing, camping, watching the Miami Dolphin games, playing cards, and playing board games.  He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  

Survivors:  a son, Gary Oberdahlhoff, Jr. of Nebo, IL, a daughter, Jane (Christopher) Milner, of Nebo, IL, two brothers, Kenneth A. Snellbacher of Amarillo, TX., and Merle Gooding of Quincy, IL., a sister, Connie Gooding, of Quincy, IL, and seven grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Jane Oberdahlhoff, his parents, and one sister, Bonnie Sparks.  

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at the West Cemetery, Pittsfield, IL. with Rev. Quentin Beard officiating.  Burial will be at the West Cemetery, Pittsfield, IL.  

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2009, from 12 noon until 1 p.m. at the Niebur Funeral Home, Pittsfield, IL
