Todd A. Smith, 40, of Pleasant Hill, IL and formerly of Griggsville, IL passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at his residence.  Todd was born April 22, 1969 a son to James E. and Mary L. Willis Smith in Peoria, IL. His life companion of seventeen years, Jennifer R. Guthrie survives.

Todd was a graduate of Griggsville High School and was a truck driver for Gully Transportation of Quincy, IL since 1994.  He was of the Baptist faith and was a NASCAR fan, Cardinal baseball fan, and loved fishing with his sons.

Surviving are companion Jennifer Guthrie and three loving sons at home, James Winston, Noah Michael, and Bradley Dean. Three brothers, Dennis Montgomery, Jonathan Howell, Aaron Howell; three sisters, Debbie and Becky and Teresa (Dave) Deeder of New Salem, IL, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Services will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, November 21, 2009 at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield with Rev. Darrin Workman officiating.  Visitation will be held prior to the service from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. A private burial will be held at Crescent Heights Cemetery in Pleasant Hill at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be sent to Todd’s sons education and care.
