MRS. JEANNETTE LOUISE SCHEDEL, 71, of Chula Vista, California, died Thursday, September 10, 2009 at the Lake View of LaMesa California Living Hospice.  She was born on May 31, 1938 in Hughsville,  MD,  to Garfield and Mary Martha Eing Goldsmith.  She married Manford N. Schedel on October 27, 1958 in Bryantown, MD., and he survives.  She worked for the City of Chula Vista as a Revenue Recovery Officer.  She was a member of the St. Pius Catholic Church in Chula Vista, CA.  She enjoyed bowling, collecting Beanie Babies, sending care packages to her grandkids and playing the slot machines.  She was a San Diego Padre fan.

Survivors include her husband Manford, two daughters, Mrs. Sallie Bowers of Pittsfield, IL, Mrs. Jennifer (Scott) Sanford of Corpus Christie, TX, a brother, Garfield Goldsmith Jr. of Hughsville, MD, three sisters, Mrs. Audrey (Leonard) Clements of Hughsville, MD, Mrs. Doris (Andy) Montgomery of Hughsville, MD, and Mrs. Geraldine (Dick) Littleton of Colorado.  She is also survived by four grandchildren, Michael and Virginia Bowers, and Dereck and Brook Sanford.  She was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Goldsmith, a son, Ivan Nye Schedel, and a son-in-law, Daniel Bowers.

Graveside services will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 10, 2009, at the West Cemetery, Pittsfield, Illinois with the Rev. John Ruzich officiating with burial at the West Cemetery following the graveside service.
