MRS. NANCY C. LYNCH, 100, of Pittsfield, Illinois died Monday, September 21, 2009 at Pittsfield Eastside Health and Rehabilitation Center, Pittsfield, Illinois. She was born April 18, 1909 in Rothville, Missouri to Sterling and Maggie Ellen Smith Carson. She married David Lynch in Quincy, Illinois on April 23, 1927 and he preceded her in death in June 1992. Nancy had worked for the Brown Shoe Company in Pittsfield, Illinois. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and attended Calvary Baptist Church in Pittsfield, Illinois. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, flower gardening, and quilting.
She is survived by one son: David Lynch of Union, Missouri, a daughter, Beverly Lynch of Pittsfield, Illinois, 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 10 step great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was precede in death by her husband David, a son, Kenneth Lynch, two daughters, Shirley Clarkson and Betty Wunderlick, a granddaughter Nancy Huffman, an infant grandson, Donald Huffman, six brothers and four sisters, and a special sister-in-law, Esther Carson.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2009 at the Niebur Funeral Home with Kenny Dale Renoud and Clint Weir officiating. Burial will be at the West Cemetery, Pittsfield, Illinois. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 24, 2009 from 4 until 8 pm a the Niebur Funeral Home, Pittsfield, Illinois. Memorials are suggested to the West Cemetery.
