Donald “Donnie” Pults, 65 of Nebo, IL passed away Sunday, September 20, 2009 at the Illini Community Hospital ER in Pittsfield, IL. Born January 11, 1944 in Quincy, IL he was a son to George Leroy and Ruby L. Embree Pults. He married Jeanette Dark September 23, 1972 at the Park View Church in Quincy, IL and she survives.
Donnie was a construction laborer and had worked for the Missouri Valley Construction Co. in Texas before moving to Pike County. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, playing cards, dancing with wife Jeanette and attending family gatherings. He attended the Nazarene Church in Nebo.
Surviving is his wife Jeanette and one son, Bryan (Channon) Pults of Pleasant Hill, IL, one brother, George (Sharon) Pults of Hannibal, MO., three sisters, Dorothy Pults of Quincy, IL., Mary (Jim) Atkins of Hannibal, MO., and Sue (Ron) Guthrie of Quincy, IL. Five grandchildren also survive.
His twin brother, Ronald, a brother Leroy, and a grandson Zachery preceded Donnie in death.
Services will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield with Pastor Darren Workman officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Shiloh Cemetery in Plainville, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family.
