Pearl “Junior” Hull, 81, of Concord, IL., died Friday (9/18/09) at his home in Concord. Born March 6,1928 near New Salem, IL., he was a son of Pearl D. and Wilma M. Freezland Hull. He married Mildred Curtis and she preceded him in death on April16,1977. He then married Hattie VanBuskirk Oct. 29, 1977 and she preceded him in death in 1998. He then married Della M. VanBuskirk Dec.12, 1998 in Concord, IL. in her home and she survives.
Mr. Hull farmed in his early years and was a carpenter and construction work. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
Survivors include his wife Della Hull of Concord, IL., three sons, Ronald (Judy) Hull of Chambersburg, IL., Stanley (Kandi) Hull of Pittsfield, IL., and Gary (Tammi) Hull, of Pleasant Hill, IL,; five daughters, Connie (Gary) Wooldridge, New Port Richie, FL., Shelia (Kenny) Gwartney, Barry, IL., Wilma Kirgan, Pittsfield, IL, Vanessa (Rick) Lister, Griggsville, IL., Pam (Ed) Smiley, Holliday, FL. Stepchildren surviving are: Leota Wilcox, Jacksonville, IL, Kathy (Rick) Hewitt, Arkansas, Fred (Linda) Lothridge, Perry, IL., Rex (Pam) Lothridge, Pittsfield, IL., Gary (Candance) Downing, Pittsfield, IL, David (Darlene) Downing, Pocahontas, Arkansas, Marion (Curtis) Arnold, Marshall, TX., Sharon (Butch) Sneeden, Pittsfield, IL, Patty (Max) Flowers, Perry, IL., Bob (Joyce) Williams, Pittsfield, IL, and Rick Williams, Mt. Sterling, IL. Thirty-one grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren, twelve, great great grandchildren along with 25 step grandchildren and twenty eight step great grandchildren also survive.
Two brothers survive, Donald (Beulah) Hull of Griggsville, IL, and George (Ruth Ann) Hull of Jacksonville, IL and one sister, Margie (Richard) Hickman of Great Falls, Montana.
He was preceded in death by his wives, one daughter, Deanna Black, two brothers, Russel and Howard Hull and an infant sister, Juanita.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at the Griggsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers family requests that memorials be made to the Griggsville Cemetery Association.
