Gertrude “Trudy” Ann Reel, 71, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, August 15, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family.

Trudy was born September 10, 1937 in New Salem, IL, and was the daughter of Grant and Helen Moore Jackson.  She married Norman Lee Reel December 11, 1953.  He preceded her in death in 1989.

She worked numerous retail jobs and sales positions including St. Joseph Tobacco Company, Dillards, J.C. Penneys and retired from Wal-Mart.

Survivors include two daughters, Norma Rotterman of St. Joseph, MO, Sue Bergonzori of Preston, ID and one son, Kevin Reel of St. Joseph, MO.  Six grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.

Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at the Pittsfield West Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Wednesday at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. prior to the service.
