MR. CHARLES “BUDDY” HURST, 67, of Perry, IL. died Monday, August 3, 2009 at Blessing Hospital, Quincy, IL. He was born on June 28, 1942, in Quincy, IL. to Mary Imogene Hurst.  Buddy was raised by his grandparents, Clyde and Louise Conrad. He married Sharon Cawthon in Pittsfield, Illinois on March 7, 1963, and she survives.  Mr. Hurst was a truck driver for Alsbaugh Explosives, and  Webel Feed Mill and FS of Rushville, IL.  He enjoyed dancing, doing yard work, and reading.       

He is survived by his wife Sharon of Perry, Il, two daughters: Lori Sanderson of Perry, IL and Esther Shoemaker of Griggsville, IL; a brother, Clyde Conrad, Jr. of Pittsfield, IL; two sisters: Marcel Moore of Perry, IL and Arlene Lambert of Augusta, IL and three grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by three brothers:  Bill Hurst, Bob Hurst, and Sam Hurst and two sisters: Mardell Cawthon and Idelle Jacobs. 

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 7, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield, IL. with Rev. John Ruzich officiating.  Burial at the Wilson Cemetery, Perry, IL.  A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2009 from 5 until 8 pm at the Niebur Funeral Home, Pittsfield, IL.

The family requests memorials to be made to the Wilson Cemetery or the Ellis Fischel CancerCenter of Columbia, Missouri.
