Delbert Ruble, 70, of Nebo, IL passed away July 16, 2009 in the emergency room at Blessing Hospital, Quincy, IL.

He was born August 13, 1938 in Griggsville, IL, the son of Paul Irvin and Elma Juanita Daniels Ruble.  He married Karen Splain April 29, 1995 in New Salem, IL.

Delbert was a farm laborer for Glenn Myers and a self-employed truck driver.  He loved fishing, camping and visiting with family and friends.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.

Surviving is his wife Karen, five sons and 4 daughters: Jr. (Dina) of Pleasant Hill, IL; Randy (Brenda) of Clarksville, TN; Rob of Nebo, IL; Kent (Sue) of Spearman, TX; Brian of Hillsboro, IL; Nicole and Breann of Nebo, IL; Lacey Moore of Ash Grove, MO; and Robin Cobb of Kansas City, MO.;  fifteen grandchildren, fifteen step grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren.

 Also, surviving are two brothers, Harold (Vella) Ruble of Pittsfield and Jack (Dianna) Ruble of Baylis;  one sister, Greta (Don) Shipley of Waverly, IL; sister-in-law, Joyce Ruble of Jacksonville, IL; four step children, Manny Pressey, Melissa Parton, James Pressey, and David (Yvonne) Pressey;  an aunt, Pearl Ruble of Pittsfield, an uncle Robert Daniels of Pittsfield along with several nieces and nephews.

Delbert was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Gene Ruble.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, July 20, at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield with Rev. Darrin Workman officiating. Burial will be in the Blue River Cemetery in Detroit, IL.  Family and friends may call Sunday, July 19 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Niebur Funeral Home.
