TIMOTHY ALAN  KELLEY, 29 of  Griggsville, IL, died Friday afternoon, June 19, 2009 at Blessing Hospital, Quincy, IL following complications from heat stroke at work.

He was born July 15, 1979 at Pittsfield, IL., a son of John R. and Lois A. Phillips Kelley.

Tim worked as a laborer in construction.

He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post # 213 in Griggsville. He was a NASCAR enthusiast and a fan of Jeff Gorton and Dale Earnhardt Jr. He enjoyed reading, music, Cardinal baseball, Chicago Bears football, and spending time with his daughter Katy and his niece Jenna Kelley and nephews Ryan Kelley and Andy Pate.

Survivors include his parents John and Lois Kelley of New Salem, IL., a special friend Laura Baxter and their daughter Katherine Mae “Katy” Kelley of Griggsville, a brother, John (wife Jamie) Kelley of Griggsville, IL., and a sister Mrs. Kevin (Crystal) Pate of Williams, IA, a niece and 2 nephews.

He was preceded by his grandparents.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield with Peggy Ratliff officiating. Burial will be at Gray Cemetery near New Salem, IL

 Friends may call at Niebur’s on Tuesday from Noon until time of services.

Memorials are suggested to a trust fund for his daughter Katy at the Farmers National Bank of Griggsville or in care of the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield.
