Harold “Bud” Myers, 81, died on Sunday morning, June 14, 2009 at the Harry S. Truman Veteran Administration Hospital in Columbia, MO.  He was born on October 1, 1927 in Summer Hill, IL to Forby and Iva Belle Baughman Myers.   He married Mary Ann Robertson August 21, 1949 in Pittsfield, IL. and she survives.  He

worked for Stark Bros. Nursery and was a self-employed sheep shearer/fur buyer/wood  cutter.  He served his country in the U. S. Army during World War II.   He enjoyed his horses and gardening. 

Survivors:  His wife, Mary Ann Myers, six sons Donald (Debra Ann) Myers, Nebo, IL., Eugene (Cheri) Myers, New Salem, IL., Forby (Chan) Myers, Atlas, IL, James Myers, Rockport, IL, Richard (Paula) Myers, Rockport, IL and Danny Myers, Pearl, IL; two daughters Marty (Teresa) Douglas, Mendon, IL. and Patrick (Dorothy) Welbourne, Pittsfield, IL.; two sisters Mrs. Betty (Bill) Harrison, Hannibal, MO. and Patricia Myers, Jacksonville, IL.; fourteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. 

Preceded by a son Harold Myers,  a brother Irvin “Buck” Myers, sisters Lola Mae Mayes, Mary Bolton, Helen McCloud, Dorothy (age 2), five grandchildren Debra June Myers,  Jacob & Heidi Myers, twin girls Heidi and Heather Myers.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Niebur Funeral Home, Pittsfield, IL.  Burial will be at the Summer Hill Cemetery,  Summer Hill, IL.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 18^th
