Ada L. McGlasson, 86 of Pittsfield, IL died June 7, 2009 at the Eastside Healthcare & Rehab in Pittsfield.

Born March 17, 1923 at Rockport, Il., she was a daughter of Tony and Erma Loutzenheiser Smith. She married Roscoe E. “Rocky” McGlasson July 3, 1941 in Bowling Green, MO.  He preceded her in death July 10, 2002.

Ada was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed flower gardening, playing bingo, and cooking. In her earlier years she was employed at the Brown Shoe Factory in Pittsfield and Mallin Orchard in Summer Hill, IL.

Surviving is one son Dean and wife Mary McGlasson of O’Fallon, MO. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Katie Hand, Patrick & Kelly McGlasson and 3 great grandchildren.

Ada was preceded in death by her husband “Rocky” and one sister Lola Jean Stilwell and one sister in infancy.

Funeral services will be Wednesday 6/10/09) at 2:00 p.m. at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield with Rev. Bill Herald officiating.  Burial will be in the Pittsfield West Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Wednesday June 10 from 12:00 p.m. until time of service.

Family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the Calvary Baptist Church.
