Hoyt Austin Stout
 

Hoyt Austin Stout, aged 3 years, of SmithtonIL passed away Thursday, May 21, 2009 at St. Louis Children’s Hospital in St. LouisMissouri.  He was born August 8, 2005 in AlamogordoNM.  His parents are Greg and Tracy Schulz Stout of SmithtonIL and formerly of New Canton. 

            Hoyt loved and enjoyed many activities, including baseball, kickball, golf and soccer.  He loved riding his 4 wheeler and the John Deere Gator.  He liked race cars and building things with his Legos.  He enjoyed fishing and turkey and deer hunting in Pike County with his dad and uncles, and picked his first mushroom this spring.  Hoyt’s favorite shows were Winnie the Pooh and the Backyardigans.  He was of the Baptist faith.

            Survivors include his parents Greg and Tracy Stout of SmithtonIL. Grandparents are FrancesStout of New Canton and Jerry Schulz, also of New Canton.  The great-grandmother is Mrs. Virginia Schulz of HullIL.  Also surviving are 5 uncles; Michael Stout of Baylis, IL, Darren Stout of South Bend, IN, Lewis Stout of Lee’s Summit, MO, Lloyd Schulz of Louisiana, MO, and Herb Schulz of Barry, IL.  2 Aunts are Jan Gates of New Canton, and Susan Vincent of QuincyIL.  He was preceded by a grandfather Lewis “Jack” Stout and a grandmother Rita Sue Schulz.

            Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 26th, 2009 at 2:00PM at the Niebur Funeral Chapel in BarryIL, with Jack Schulz officiating.  Burial will be at the Shearer Cemetery at New Canton, IL.  Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 4-7 PM at the funeral home.  On-line condolences may be left at www.nieburfh.com.
